Sending MMS using the Messagesapplication
|
MultiMedia Messages (MMS)
One of the most exciting features of the Messages application is its full-featured media message editor. You can send photos, videos, and sound clips through your mobile phone to any MMS-enabled mobile phone or email address.
1. Make sure your handheld has established a Bluetooth connection with an MMS enabled mobile phone.
2. On your handheld, launch the Messages application.
3. Tap the New button, and select Media message.
4. Enter a mobile number in the To: field, or tap the To: button to look up a number in your Contacts.
5. You can send an MMS message to multiple recipients. Tap the icon in the upper right corner to add recipients to the Cc: and Bcc: fields, much like email. After you ve finished adding recipients, tap the icon again to return to the message.
6. Enter a subject in the Subj: field. MMS messages, like email messages, generally have a subject and a body.
7. Tap on the New Slide button.
8. An MMS message can have multiple slides, and each slide can contain text, images, movies and sounds (or any combination). The slide show is the body of your message. The slide editor, where you are now, is where you define what the slide show will look like.
9. Observe the slide show editor:
· The current slide is at the top left corner.
· The setting that determines how long the slide will be shown (1, 2, 5 or 10 seconds) is at the top right corner.
· Media message editing tools are along the left side of the screen.
1. Drawing tools: Pencil, Text, Line, Circle, Solid Circle, Box, &n bsp; Solid Box, Fill Color, Eraser
2. &nbs p; Weight and calligraphy shape of line
3. &nbs p; Font: Typeface and size
4. Palette: Select a color
5. Load Picture: Add a picture to the canvas (either a saved photo, or use the camera to take a picture now). To remove a picture, tap Menu, and from the Slide menu, select Clear Picture. Removing a picture will also remove any annotations you ve made to the picture.
6.Load Sound: Add a tune to the slide. To remove a tune, tap Menu and from the Slide menu, select Clear Audio.
· The canvas, where you create the slide, is the main area on the screen.
· A counter that shows you which slide your editing, and how many total slides there are, is at the right side of the screen.
[B· The new slide icon, for adding slides, is next to the counter.
10. To add another slide, tap the new slide icon at the bottom right.
11. When you ve finished the last slide you want to add, tap Done.
12. In the media message screen, press the Play button at the bottom right to see the message as it will appear to the recipient.
13. Tap Send to send it immediately, or tap Done to discard your changes and delete it (or save to the Drafts mailbos).
